    @moxie @hashbreaker Federated systems also evolve, just more slowly then centralized ones. This is both good and bad, no single good answer.

      @moxie @hashbreaker I.e. stable protocol standards are important, but it also takes (lots of) time for improvements to deploy - cf. HTTP(S)
