    @ChadBrubaker__ Interesting. money laundering seems to be one of the few non-crazy explanations for that whole scam. After all, laundering doesn't need to be profitable or make any sense in itself as long as it provides enough indirection without significant real money loss along the chain.

      @ChadBrubaker__ (And, of course, money launderers don't care about the collateral damage caused to other people or, err, the planet.) But why does e.g., @torproject support that particular kind of craziness? That's part of what I really don't get. What am I missing?
