I completely refuse to force any such proctoring or "secure browser" malware on my students. It would counter any notions of user privacy and client device security that we try so hard to teach in our courses and achieve in our research projects. @MathProfPeter/1364072924550991873

@MathProfPeter For some exams, we run parallel Zoom sessions, asking to see the desk and the screen in the camera image, but turned away from other (private) parts of the room, and we often don't see student's faces in this setting. That is, roughly trying to replicate classroom.

@MathProfPeter But taking over a student's computer is a strong no-no from our side, for so many reasons. And we explicitly recognize that not everybody has access to a separate room that doesn't have anything private in it. These are often living or bed rooms shared with others.
