    1. TIL: SFP+ modules can work in SFP slots, at least in DAC form (haven't tried optical). For the record, digitus.info/en/products/active-network-components/sfp-technology/dac-cable/dn-81221/ works with Mikrotik (SFP+) on one and TP-Link (SFP) on the other side when manually configured to 1G.

TIL 2: TP-Link switches set STP on a per-port basis to disabled _by default_ when first enabling STP globally. That was a bit of a head-scratcher until I discovered that submenu.

TIL 3: Bridges, VLANs, and STP mix very poorly on current OpenWRT systems (even though it should be possible, cf. unix.stackexchange.com/questions/556735/linux-vlan-aware-bridges-and-trunk-ports; though this is not integrated into UCI yet). OpnSense looks much nicer in that sense.
