@kudi10004 @roteskreuzat That's one reason why I am eagerly awaiting public availability of the new Apple/Google API - it's documented in detail and doesn't require external components. While closed source implementation is certainly not optimal, device-local-only processing minimizes risk.

@kudi10004 @roteskreuzat That is, the app that handles communication to server instances should absolutely be open source. I am more ok-ish by the small layer between the OS API and Bluetooth firmware to not be open source based on the argument that the firmware isn't either. But ideally, it should be.
