@BenLaurie There are actually some projects in this space (shameless plug: digidow.eu, a proposal unfortunately rejected 2 years ago and currently in limbo). But I heartily agree that Blockchain alone is not the solution and many current projects ignore important aspects likeOn twitter.com

@BenLaurie recovery from private key loss, untrackability and unlinkability of meta data in interactions with digital identity, device-less authentication, etc. Just storing a self-created ID on a Blockchain is (at least to me) the least interesting part of the problem space.Permalink On twitter.com
