          1. Let's talk about recent bad experiences with @Lufthansa_DE: a) Outbound flight BCN->FRA was delayed by 1h because of bad weather. Ok, happens. Handling in FRA was very poor, missed connecting flight, no information, no compensation, arrived 11h later and had to cancel meetings.

          b) Trying to get luggage in FRA because of this unplanned, forced overnight stay took about 1h. No information, ground staff extremely unhelpful, no excuse, was told that I got lucky to get it at all because fully automated baggage system shuts down at 23:00 every night.

        c) Online checkin yesterday evening impossible due to "unspecified system error". Checking early in the morning at airport, no guaranteed seat, no information on likelihood of making connection FRA->SFO. @Lufthansa_DE ground staff told me that complaints generally go unheard.

      After flying happily for nearly 20 yrs with @Lufthansa_DE, they are now on my personal gray list of "avoid if better options are available". Hope I don't have to put them on my black list. It's a shame how a formerly very good airline slips into bad behavior with alarming speed.

    @Lufthansa_DE Small update: @Lufthansa_DE gate staff was professional, polite, and efficient in dealing with overbooked plane. I was downgraded, but will at least make the connection. Customer support concerning delays seems to (intentionally) take >2 weeks to reply to email though. Nice.
