    @matthew_d_green @andreavbasso @williamallen It is for apps being backed up with standard Android backup (which is the default, but apps can opt out with detailed filters through their manifest). If apps have their own specific way of syncing / backing up data to other servers, then that's out of control of the platform.

      @matthew_d_green @andreavbasso @williamallen For other device data: device settings yes (same E2EE), keys from keystore are not currently backed up or synced. Google (web) service specific data like contacts, calendar, or photos (if enabled for syncing) are not E2EE, as they couldn't be used on the web end otherwise.
