I agree that app interoperability *can* create new weaknesses, but not that it *must*. The MLS standard seems to be progressing well and can support secure, federated 1:1 and group communication that is fully E2EE. @ericgeller Other topics obviously including second master keys and other ludicrous ideas that break E2EE guarantees. Those cannot, to the best of my knowledge, be made secure.On twitter.com
