This is a good thread on a different aspect in this hard problem domain. Having no answer to content scanning creates more policy pressure not to encrypt. @pwnallthethings Why is this so hard? Because we are again trying to find a technical solution to a social problem, and that has a low success rate (exposure notification was one really neat solution that actually works, but it doesn't need to work against social behavior). 2/

@pwnallthethings I'm a tech geek myself and primarily think in solutions in this space. But I continue to try and remind myself that when no good technical compromise presents itself, we a) haven't found it yet; or b) it's not a tech problem. Figuring out which one it is is not trivial. 3/3
