  1. I will need to try some of those and measure again (mayrhofer.eu.org/post/firewall-throughput-opnsense-openwrt/). The Spectre/Meltdown PTI toggle seems interesting, as I really have no gut feeling whatsoever if it will change routing/firewall throughput.
