@sjmurdoch @halvarflake Spot on. That is one reason why we are now debating at @jkulinz if we should replace C/C++ with e.g. Rust specifically for degrees that are hardware oriented. Moving the needle means those who develop the initial code need to do so in memory safe languages. Won't happen quickly.
